Singed by the artist to the bottom left - T Creswick RA (1811-1869), inducted into the Royal Academy as a full member from 1851, and one of the best-known members of the Birmingham School of landscape painters. Certainly a true master of his craft, this is a beautifully depicted landscape scene with some lovely details in the sky, pond and figure.
Oil on canvas, set into its original decorative gilt frame. A small tear to the canvas with historic patch repair to rear.
