Smiths Electric Industrial Wall Clock
A very nice example of the iconic industrial wall clock by Smiths English Clock Systems. c.1930
Surviving in amazing condition, this clock pre-dates the 1937 switch over to the Sectric branding. The 12" dial has a wonderful patina and the original bronzed finish to the case. The original hands now running on a high torque Quartz movement for modern convenience.

About the maker
Smiths English Clock Systems Ltd entered the domestic clock market in 1931 with the earliest known examples marked with Synchronous Electrics Clocks Ltd. In 1937, the trade name Sectric was adopted and appeared on many clocks from this point. They produced clocks for the commercial, domestic and automobile market where they appeared in many factories, railways and public spaces throughout the UK.
