Likely used on a railway platform, this clock has been left in as found, original condition, just cleaned and preserved. Multiple layers of paint build up a beautiful texture on the heavy steel case, contrasted with the clean, sharp face. Original self starting 240v movement rewired.

About the maker
The Magneta Time Co. were based at the Goblin Works factory in Leatherhead, Surrey. As a company there were instrumental in the development of public clocks with many still found at railway stations today. They manufactured synchronous, impulse, turret and even advertising clocks where commissioned by architects. Outside of clocks they also produced fire alarms, telephones, loudspeakers and many other electrical items.
