A beautiful and elegantly formed lamp by early 20th Century powerhouses Simanco. c.1930
A delicate lamp once fixed to every seamstress's Singer sewing machine, but now very hard to find complete and in such condition. Original Bakelite shade with Singer branding. Mounted to a simple heavy brass base for stability. A long time favourite of ours!
Rewired with 2m of black twist flex and BS 3-pin plug.

About the maker
During the mid-nineteenth century, the Singer Company became world-famous with its invention, the sewing machine. In 1910, the company launched a range of professional furniture for the textile industry such as stools, chairs, workstations and accessories including a work light.
