A beautiful and elegantly formed lamp by early 20th Century powerhouses Simanco. c.1920

A delicate lamp once fixed to every seamstress's Singer sewing machine, but now very hard to find complete and in such condition. In completely untouched original condition, with each part marked Simanco. A favourite find of ours and one that will be hard to let go. Mounted to a simple heavy steel base for stability.

Rewired with 2m of black twist flex and BS 3-pin plug.

About the maker
During the mid-nineteenth century, the Singer Company became world-famous with its invention, the sewing machine. In 1910, the company launched a range of professional furniture for the textile industry such as stools, chairs, workstations and accessories including a work light.
