Exceptional example of a large illuminated wall clock manufactured by Smiths English Clock Systems. c.1930

Heavy gauge steel casing in old grey paint - presumably once flush mounted into an opening - now has a custom mount made. The dial is made of thick plate glass which has been etched with painted numerals, chapters and makers mark. Large imposing hands running on a 240v electric movement, with the illuminations controlled via a remote switch - allowing the clock to remain running, but the lights to be switched off.
