A wonderful antique rivetted copper copper boiler pot, Welsh. c.1850
Salvaged from a farm in Wales - great size and shape with the most perfect natural verdigris patina that only time can produce. One small and very historic repair to the inside. The rim is stamped '12 G'.
What is Verdigris?
”Verdigris is the common name for a green pigment obtained through the application of acetic acid to copper plates or the natural patina formed when copper, brass or bronze is weathered and exposed to air or seawater over time.”
