Fantastic example of an earlier factory machinist's lamp made in England by Dugdills. c.1920

Fully constructed from brass and retaining the original green painted finish, featuring the earlier 'rossette' joint adjustment bolts and NOS (new old stock) AP enamel shade. Fully articulating, allowing this versitile lamp to be positioned in any manner. Designed to be wall mounted.

Rewired with 2m of black twisted flex and BS 3-pin plug.

About the maker
The company was formed in the late 19th century in Manchester by John Dugdill - an electrical engineer. Many of the lamps designed and produced by Dugdills graced workshop machinery such as lathes and illuminated workbenches in their thousands. Even so, they were made to last a lifetime of use and were designed to be beautiful. The earlier variants of Dugdills lamps feature a 'rosette' or 'cog' tightening wheel at the joint allowing the lamp to be locked into any position. Customers could request their lamps in a variety of finishes including painted, oxy-copper or nickel plated and brass.
