18" Magneta Electric Wall Clock
Beautiful industrial clock made in England by well known clock makers Magneta Electric. c.1940
Featuring a sweeping second hand, this clock has been left in original condition, with a very attractive age related patina to the face and brass casing. Original hands running beautifully on the 240v mains powered movement.
About the maker
The Magneta Time Co. were based at the Goblin Works factory in Leatherhead, Surrey. As a company there were instrumental in the development of public clocks with many still found at railway stations today. They manufactured synchronous, impulse, turret and even advertising clocks where commissioned by architects. Outside of clocks they also produced fire alarms, telephones, loudspeakers and many other electrical items.
