Beautiful example of the iconic wall clock made in England by renowned electrical manufactures Gents of Leicester. c.1930
The copper casing has built up a blue verdigris finish, whilst the face remains bright and clean with iconic numerals and Gents of Leicester manufacturing logo. Original hands now running on a high torque Quartz movement for modern convenience.
Gents’ of Leicester, was established in Leicester, England, in 1872 by John Thomas Gent. For over a century, the company was a well known manufacturer of electrical equipment, in particular its electric clocks, which were used in public buildings and railway stations all over the world.
