Wonderful double sided railway clock made in England by Gents of Leicester. c.1950
Originally hung on Platform 1 of Moorgate Railway Station on the London Underground, this clock has been cleaned but left in original condition to retain its history and authenticity. Gents slave mechanisms retained and running perfectly on a battery operated impulse driver.
Gents’ of Leicester, was established in Leicester, England, in 1872 by John Thomas Gent. For over a century, the company was a well known manufacturer of electrical equipment, in particular its electric clocks, which were used in public buildings and railway stations all over the world.
