Incredible large cast iron factory clock manufactured by renowned electrical company Gents of Leicester. c.1930
Believed to have hung in an Austin car showroom, this clock has been left in the original black paint. Clean, clear face with famous Austin branding. The original iconic hands now run on a high-torque quartz movement for modern convenience.
Gents’ of Leicester, was established in Leicester, England, in 1872 by John Thomas Gent. For over a century, the company was a well known manufacturer of electrical equipment, in particular its electric clocks, which were used in public buildings and railway stations all over the world.
