A rare example of a brass bankers lamp by renowned English lighting company Dugdills. c.1920
Made entirely of brass this scarce Dugdills lamp features the early’daisy’ knobs for tightening the joints, original bankers style green enamelled shade and heavy duty ornate hexagonal base. Left in original condition showing aged patina to the brass, just lightly cleaned.
Rewired with 2m of black twist flex and BS 3-pin plug.
The design of this is attributed to John Dugdill, an electrical engineer from Manchester, who filed a patent for a ‘rotating electrical switch’ in 1906
